id like to make my Apex into a two seater if possible. Could it be done the venture seat and backrest. I would at least like to be able to add the adjustable backrest to my Xtx. Anyone done this. Let me know what's been done on there. Thanks. Dan

I dont think it will fit the tank correctly and what will you do around the exhaust?

I have thought about this since my RX in 05, wishing that Yamaha would put the Apex motor in the venture. If you put the seat on the Apex you need to move the muffler back and extend the pipe. Swapping a motor into Venture still leaves the exhaust to be modified. Someone took two sleds (Venture and Apex) and cut them up adding the rear of one to the other. Anything is possible but may not be easy.
I was tossing the idea around to move the muffler back and lengthen the seat of the Apex by cobbling two seats together and recover.

The better way is to purchase a seat jack passenger seat for your apex that you can put on or take off quick and easy...just did this to my Apex and it works great...now my seat is higher up than stock but the end result is I have an easy 2-up or single riser sled in less than a minute conversion with the Kimpex seat jack...

Nice I had a seat Jack and have looked at the kimpex but in both cases they raise the passenger so high in the air. Not a huge problem but add that to the fact that they crowd the driver and I get sore knees. Having said that I think the Kimpex is a much better choice of add on seat. Your's is modified to fit your higher seat and maybe a person could modify and move the seat back a bit. I think however the poster is interested in the ability to move the backrest forward and back like the Venture.
