Or instead of swapping buy the 16 torsions. Even softer.
Cannondale, I just want to point out that there isn't a rear spring change for the 16+ on the RTX. The softer rear springs were for the LTX model. I confirmed this with parts fiche, and it's described quite well for the Cats here: http://www.arcticinsider.com/Article/Handling-Upgrade-Convert-your-ProCross-Skidframe-to-2016-Specs

I've brought everything over the border from cars to construction materials. What is this " duty " you all speak of?
If you ship via US Post you pay sales tax on new items. Same as you would if you bought them in Canada, but you are paying on a lesser amount. I paid "duty" on a Z06 Corvette, and it was miraculously the same as the taxes I would pay when I registered it
If you ship via UPS / FedEx etc (anything that is NOT the government) you pay a brokerage fee. It's a fee to clear the border that sucks, and is laughable, but hey, why use them? UPS may or may not have to give some of that money to Uncle Sam, I don't know. I refuse UPS at all costs.
There are no other fees. Duty is what mom and dad called it because they were scared of smuggling stuff over the border when they went to the "Duty Free" shop for booze and smokes. It's tax, and it's 13% if you live in Ontario, and it only applies to new items. Booze and smokes are taxed at about 200%, that's why they were so afraid to get caught.
Call it service repair and if you feel real bad, stick some tape on them explaining customer rebuild under warranty. Done. Hope that helps.

Wasnt aware of that, thanks for pointing that out....im surprised they even keep track to be honest.....Its crazy how it costs double to ship it back to me then from me to the us. Duty always kills us, but i like quality work and good improvements and my being able to walk after rides is worth the money
"They" are probably keeping track of everything with all the nut cases out there (ISIS).
For all the Canadians shipping south (make sure Canada Customs is aware it is leaving Canada for repair so there is no Duty on return) you should only pay GST or HST for the repair on return.
For people like (cannondale) if you have a company name not so bad, if you are shipping back to Canada as a"gift" from a personal business (your Name) US Customs and immigration and Canada customs see to many of them they start to think you are into "smuggling for fun and profit" and they frown on that.
So Do everything as close to legal as you can so no one gets in trouble
PS if you guys south of the 49th choose to say a $100. dollar repair is $10 dollars for Customs purposes we don't have a problem with that.
