I just talked to the guy with the sled, and I told him he had a deal. He's the good news, the front suspension has already been swapped out for the '04 parts.

Sounds like you got a good deal. Low miles, upgrades, and good condition. Enjoy your new sled.

I'd strongly consider stretching it to 136 with one of the aftermarket kits available.sd5500 said:But do keep in mind the 03's ride like lumber wagons
What can I do if anything to help that? I understand that the front suspension upgrades will stop it from diving into corners. Is there anything that can help the current rear suspension or does it need the 05 mono=shock set up?

Do not stretch as the cost does not justify the slight gain. Better to replace rear suspension if you are not happy with stock.

Are you saying you would have done that instead of stretching yours Jim?greenmachine said:Do not stretch as the cost does not justify the slight gain. Better to replace rear suspension if you are not happy with stock.

But it and ride it. What has been done is enough. Save your money.
THEY DO NOT RIDE LIKE LUMBER WAGONS!!!
Where the frig did someone come up with that!!
You can ride that next year and get a great ride and feel for the 4 stroker. Shine it up nice and pretty and not lose one nickel on it next year, or maybe even make a few bucks... Spring is buyers market, sell when the snow flys in the fall for more.
I love my 03 and am not ashamed to say it. Is it perfect? NO. But it is ONE of the best overall sleds I have ever owned. I am sure there are many who would agree with me.
If you are a lighter weight person and you set it up soft its pretty damn good. Perfect no, but its a sweet sound when you push your thumb and it pulls and pulls and pulls. I can ride it all day even in the woods of Vermont which is not be best trails around and not be tired. It barely uses more fuel than a fan machine and you dont buy oil. AND IT DOESNT SMELL!!!!
Try it and you will never go back.
Belive it!
Have I ever said this site rocks?
