I just noticed after a 400 mile weekend that when I started my sled today it has a ticking type sound coming from the front area above the track driveshaft and on the sides of the motor, it is loud at first but as it warms up the sound is less noticeable. I was expecting at some point to have the exhaust issue that seems to be common. I was just suprized if it is the donuts that it got this loud that quick. When I started the sled yesterday to ride it it sounded normal.

I would'nt let it wait, If you continue to ride it the Y pipes will break or crack. I just changed mine 2 weeks ago,not a bad job if you have the parts. RockerDan has a good write up on the job here in the forum.

your donuts are shot, fix now or you will be replacing y-pipe, mine
started out with that ticking sound, i rode like that for 2 weekends
and it cracked right side y-pipe, y.e.s warranty is covering it for me.
i had to call around to find a y-pipe as yama told me they were
backordered.

The DONUT...They are probably shot.
I just did mine, got 3000 miles on the sled.
The exaust 4 and 3,half of the donut were missing.
The #2 mist 1/4 of the donut and #1....no sing of the donut.
I did my donut because my sled backfire after WOT.
