I have the jackshaft removed from the sled. What is the best technique for getting the bearing out of the bulkhead?

Put a bolt with a big washer through the bearing and into a piece of metal, hold the metal up from the bulkhead on blocks, then just tighten the bolt. You can reinstall the NEW bearing the same way, but you have to be careful with the washer to make sure that it doesnt put pressure on the center race, otherwise you may damage your bearing.

Make sure you don't crack the cast aluminum that the bearing is seated in.
