I am hearing a faint squeal coming from the clutch side of the engine while driving very slowly. I wonder is this the first sign of the jackshaft bearing failure? It only happens when the engine is fully warmed.
I checked my sheave offset and it seems right on around 15 mm. The belt is not too tight as it does not squeak at idle. Visual inspection of the bearing looks OK, but I am wondering if the bearing is dry?? Anyone else see this??? Also, I cant feel any play in the bearing moving it up and down or sideways. Got any help???

Check your belt ride height in the secondary. Make sure its about 1 to 1.5 mm above the rim.

My belt height is just slightly above the secondary , maybe .5 or 1.0 mm. I found any higher and my belt wound squeak at idle.
I dont think that is the trouble , however, I wonder if my belt is glazed beyond repair?? My belt was squeaking at idle for my first 200-300 kms.

Could be glazed, but never beyond repair. Use a 120 grit sandpaper and rough up the belt a little.

I've always had a faint belt squel at slow speeds the dealer claimed that it was normal :?: I've seen others on this site report the same thing

I would bet it is belt squeal. Mine does this as well the odd time.
