Yes the phaser/ nytro kit are for both and they do work better than stock. The stock is softer and fits looser as stated before.

I just got my first ride on the XTX. I had plenty of flotation with the powderhounds. They steered easy, and it went where I pointed it. I used the slydog rubber mounts as the stock ones were very loose. The bergstrom triples were outstanding as usual.

flyboy, I have over 3500 mi. on my Attak with that exact combination. Just came in from a quick blast and am still amazed every time I ride this thing!! Floats, carves on and off trail, and they work great when tree crawling, i.e., up and over logs and such LOL!!

Okay, just got back from putting about 50 miles on the Slydogs and the XTX! Snow was good but we got a little rain on top of the snow so is was a little crunchy! Loved the Slydogs, still getting used to the XTX from the Viper. Completely different ride (duh!) and the engine braking and the incredible power band on this thing are new compared tot he Viper. The Viper had great power but the XTX has that incredible torque! WOW!!!! Almost pulls your arms off the handlebars! No regrets on the Slydogs and it wasn't icy at all so I won't know if I got enough carbide until I ride some iced up trails.

What are you guys finding, are you having to shim the aftermarket rubber?

I know Bergstrom was saying, he wasn't sure if I would need 1/4" or 3/8" shims.

Just trying to get an idea before I mount mine.

I have one XTX with 3/8" shims and one without the shims. I could not tell any difference between the two. Keep in mind that we rode on a fairly wet snow that was starting to set up. The trails were typical, but ocasionally wet and or slushy. Off trail made no difference with the shims either. I am also running the ski savers as well.
