Karavan makes very good trailers. Have you owned any Karavan trailer before? I've had 3 of them over the years and all were very good trailers in general.

Just looking for a clamshell trailer. Comparing the Karavan to a Triton kind of leaninig towards a Triton elite 12 foot drive on drive off with a clam shell that has a 4x4 opening in the front. Found one for $4195 is that a good price?

Both manufacturers make good trailers and both make more than one class of trailer.
Karavan has been a less expensive brand on the whole, but having owned one, I would have no issue buying again. Having said that, Atomic is their cheaper line. You may not notice the differences until you've owned a couple to compare.
Triton is a step up in quality all the way around. The Elite has many cool features that you won't find on their XT line of trailers.
I have an Elite with a 4x4 door and I love that big door up front. I love the track system down the middle for unlimited load balancing. The materials used work in any temperature, the hitch components right down to the quality of the chain links and wiring.
That's why the price of trailers varies so much. There is a trailer for so many budgets as many sledders needs vary. Some just need to get it from the yard to the trail head on the other side of town, others put as many miles on the trailer or more than the sleds.
I can't say that I have seen a cap on an Atomic, as it is supposed to be the entry-point for Karavan or the dealers selling them. For those looking for an 8.5 x 10 or 8.5 x 12 Triton Elite, they are usually looking at the opposite end of the spectrum. The price you quoted is the going rate, but watch craigslist as well. They pop up once in a while.
Good luck!

I was quoted sale price $6400 Cdn. for an 11' Triton all aluminum. Wasn't too crazy about the 13" wheels, and the price seemed high to me.

I currently own a SnoPro double wide and couldn't be happier, it has been a great trailer.
Not knocking the Triton, but imo the SnoPro is every bit as good, if not better, and costs less money.
