keep breaking the plastic bushing on front suspension

I just cut a piece of wood the right length and wedged it in the tunnel and the made it easier to swing the front arms up into place.

My bumper is out for powder coating and I could not for the life of me get the rear bolts in until I figured out my strap hanging the rear of the tunnel was squeezing it closed. Jammed the same piece of wood there to make that easier too.

Oh and those damn Yamaha bushings are cheap crap but they aren't inexpensive.

When it comes to reinstalling the skid it sounds like some guys install the front bolts then the rear and some guys do the rear bolts first.

I have mine out right now and I am looking for the best way to reinstall it. I have always done the front bolts first but I always have a difficult time trying to line up the the rear bolts.

Has anybody done it both ways and can comment on which way is easier and why?

I hate installing the rear mono myself. My recs are to bribe the neighbor over for beer and each take a side and get front W arm set in place first. Then rear bolts. Then on my 136" the upper wheels, which is part of the rear bolt on the 121's.

X2, just how I do it. Also I pull loose the limiter strap first...seems to give easier control to line up those first bolts without snagging the bushings

Unbolting the limiter strap and wedging the tunnel wider made it much easier to get the front bolts in. I actually did the entire job myself this time. A hoist also helps to raise and lower the rear and throw blocks under as needed to compress the suspension.

if you put the front in first and hold up the rear of the sled with a strap you can attach a come along to the knee joint in the rear and to the ski spindle on the same side and pull it in and adjust the strap holding the sled up to the right hight and it all lines up perfect one man job and you get to drink all the beer your self lol. I can have the skid in on mine in less then 5 mins.
