So since I did my Star skid relocate from a 121" to a 129" and added a taller lug track (1.6 ice cobra) last year I have been fighting the temp light coming on quite often. First thing I did was add a dash vent. That didn't help, but it does keep my gloves nice and toasty when I take a break. So this season I rode in some pretty damn good conditions 2 weekends ago, plenty of loose snow, but the temp light would still come on occasionally. I ordered a set of Dura Flex ice scratchers and A big boy Skinz trail flap for my next attempt to keep this bish cooler..I installed my scratchers Thursday (was waiting on my flap still) and went for a ride Friday in low crispy snow conditions. Kept the scratchers up till my light came on and then time to deploy these bad boys and see how they work.. HO LEE SHEET!!! in 50ft light turned off and never came on the rest of the day.. CHA-CHING!!! but my buddies behind me said I was hucking snow and ice at them 2 fold compared to before which was pretty bad.. Well got home Friday, new snow flap sitting on my porch. Tossed it on today, This is definitely going to keep the snow in there.. Pumped, no more stupid light!!

Yup the duraflex scratchers are great. They will start to bend after awhile, just slide a close ended wrench over the cable and bend them back on occasion to retension them.

I have that flap too, doesn't work for me. It is too flexible and ends up getting sucked under the tunnel into the track as soon as I hit the first big bump. I have to stop several times a day to bend it backwards. May want to put a strap from your bumper to the flap if you have the same problem.

thanks for the tip, I think I will do that before I have the problem.. Question, Did you trim any off it or did you leave it the standard length??

thanks birdmayon, figured i'd get it done..

I'm more than likely doing the star kit and a 128 1.6 ice cobra in the off season. But I already have a MountainTech tunnel cooler. I put a temp gauge on before and I would run 200+ all day long. Now 165 all day. It's a great mod

I have pdp flap. Mines 21" long. Not sure your length and haven't gotten to try mine yet.
