I seem to remember a thread on some Kimpex wheels for the Yami skid , if I remember right they look like factory and are slightly larger to aid in slider/ hyfax wear .
Anybody know about them or info on use on their sled would be wonderful .

I don't recommend them and I am a Kimpex dealer. Better off to use the non-spoked idlers that are just slightly larger. In addition, if you are using stock wheels, it is a good idea to loosen the 2 bolts that hold the wheel and block on, then hold down as they are tightened. Tighten very tight also.I seem to remember a thread on some Kimpex wheels for the Yami skid , if I remember right they look like factory and are slightly larger to aid in slider/ hyfax wear .

I use them on my Apex, I believe they are 135mm and stock are 130mm, have had no problems with them what so ever and have that spoke profile and look good , mine I believe are for the 16-18 Single shot skid and have the narrower replaceable bearing to fit properly to run true on my track, they would have the proper ones for your skid.

i use them on my brothers 13 venture gt and on the 2 skids i have for my 2011 apex xtx. not having any problem with the wheels, durability wise, and they have made it so that on the 2011 the slider plastic goes for 10000 miles on the cheap aftermarket slides.
going to check my 16 in off season and see if i need to add them to it.

Is this even an issue in good snow conditions? I have 6k on my 09 with OE hyfax and so far 3000 on duponts on my 11 xtx with no issues as of yet.

yes it is 03rx1-er-le. i ran in a majority of powdery snow conditions or lots of snow dust in 13 when i bought the 11. i burnt through the slides at the kick up at 2500 km (1500mi) without duponts with stock wheels. since i put the oversize wheels on, the slides have lasted awsome. i just had to replace them last year and this year i need to do a track as it is shedding paddles now at 25000km (15000mi) on the track.

Ok, I will have to look into these wheels when the need arises to replace them. According to the PO the OEM sliders were gone in 775 miles, that's why he put the Duponts on before I bought it from him. I will say the 3k miles I put on this past winter since purchasing the sled from him they do look good still.yes it is 03rx1-er-le. i ran in a majority of powdery snow conditions or lots of snow dust in 13 when i bought the 11. i burnt through the slides at the kick up at 2500 km (1500mi) without duponts with stock wheels. since i put the oversize wheels on, the slides have lasted awsome. i just had to replace them last year and this year i need to do a track as it is shedding paddles now at 25000km (15000mi) on the track.
