Looking for suggestions for a good map bag for my vector. Something that stays secure and doesn't hinder leg movement. I was looking at the one that Yamaha has on their website...looks kind of big though.

I like it very much! Side pockets hold lots of stuff, and map bag is big enough to hold maps and handlebar muffs (for when it's really cold!). It's not small for sure! Great for touring! Here's a pic of it on my Vector.

I have a handle bar / map holder that I really like.. I'll try and pull up a photo..MM.

I have the same Yammi OE Map bag on my Warrior as 'undecided' on the vector.... Works awesome, really not too big. nice thing is that for short rides the velcro and clips let you take the map pouch part off and just keep the side pouch portion. My brother has the Yammi handlebar pouch too and swears by it...... ;)!

Oh man???????????????????????? I'll have to go down to the garage and look..I do remember mail ordering it. MM.

Choko [maybe only in Canada] has a 3 in 1 tank bag for $75 can [Part # 91-0350-00 ] that fits Rage, Vecter and RX-1 . Dealer says fit better than the yamaha bag. It is a tank bra with storage on the sides and you use either the bag with map pocket or the flat map pocket, they velcro & fasten on. They do not have the fleece under side ,so you have to add that.

I use this and it works awesome!....

It's called a MapJacket and you can get them at Dennis Kirk. $11.99

Are these tank bags the ones I heard scratched the tank covers???

I can say that my map bag is marring the surface. Scatching??...no. Could buff it out if I wanted but I always have the bag on so it's no big deal to me.

I also have a handlebar bag on my sled too. Just didn't have it on when I took the pictures. All of this and the windshield bag I have makes for a good amount of storage. Add my rear side saddlebags/trunk bag setup, and "touring I go!". ;)!

That's what I have, and what I did - err a, the wife did anyway. Otherwise, you can count on lots and lots of scratches. It does seem to get in the way of aggressive riding if the bag is over-loaded though.
