I need some help with my new leak down tester. I know i have to bring
the cyls tdc. Ok this is what i did i put 30psi in each cly and the cylinder
leakage read 0 to 10% on all cyl . But as i move air psi around things change.

I think you need to put 100 psi in the cylinder but dont' know what leak tester you have.

on my gauge, I have to bring it to 100psi


then calibrate the gauge to read ZERO when disconnected from cyulinder (zero leakage) then read 100% when connected to cylinder and valves are opened.


On my rx1, I get from 4% to 7% on my gauge

I think below 10% is all set.


as a reference, my tpex motor (the one I had all 4 cylinders tapered and ovalized) got between 40 and 65% of leakage...
