leaving stock air box, but re-jetting and new springs

air box

i ran 137.5 main jets with my stk air box this realy picked up the top end and stock springs. but i am at 1100 ft and when reading the shop manual thats right on with yamaha calls for. at my avrage temp and alt .
 
MJ/147.5,green springs, ram air, 144 megabite studs,Woody's 8 inch carbides,Ultimax belt as well as stock,stock clutching,NGK Race plug equivilent to 10's.

I removed the snorkel and cut 4 holes 1" wide on the bottom half of the box. and modified the upper filter cover. went with red springs and 137.5 or 140 ill have to check and it woke it up alot.

Never had a single issue with snow ingestion in the 4 years I've owned it, the two ducts go to the bottom of the air box right above the ECU where the rubber snorkel protrudes.As well I am using the stock filter.

No worries,I have no pics of the bottom of the Airbox sorry,but the Airbox itself is completely stock.Because the tubes are grooved the airflow is slowed comparing to smooth ones, still flows quite a bit when you put a hair dryer at the front and your hand at the other end.
