Where can I find a left hand throttle kit for my 06 vector?

How hard is it to install, any tricks/pitfalls?

I use the kit from SnoBunji, they have very good directions to install. With the SnoBunji, you can unhook it for loading on to trailers and when you let someone else ride your sled. Depending on where you locate the left throttle in relation to your brake handle, you may have a dendency to grab the left throttle instead of your brake, so be carefull at first.

I agree, I have the snobunje also. Nice quality, the lever is nice sized which ultimately made my decision for me because I use 3 finger gloves. I installed it in less than an hour and it comes with a throttle flare as well. My only concern is how it effects the play in the thumb throttle. You will notice the stock throttle axis pin slides a little. I know it actuates something, but don't know what. My installation took that play out. Not sure what the ramifications are. Most kits I've seen use the same mounting technique, so not sure how to get around it.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I installed the Lefty Side HIller-2 last week. No new snow here so all i got to do was test it out on the trail. Seems good to me

I have a goldfinger and really like it. Very easy to install and has a pin you can put in when you don't want to use it. Have been using it for 2 yrs w/o any issues.

If you watch closely when you apply the throttle with your thumb; the lever does the same thing. The throttle does that because the T.O.R.S is actuated by that. It cuts the ignition timing when you let off the throttle shoul the OEM cable stick. The only time you would need to worry about this would be if the Snobunje cable gets ice in it or the cable gets frayed and sticks (the T.O.R.S would assume the throttle is applied even if you let off the left lever). To test your T.O.R.S, hold the pin so it doesn't slide in as you apply the throttle. If it's working properly the ignition timing will retard and cause the engine to not rev up like normal.
I have the same set up on my wife's RMK with 1800+ trouble free miles. On the RX-1mtn I run a Lefty's DTC (earlier version) and have 2900 miles with no problems. I did replace the left hand cable this season beacause it was fraying at the left throttle block. I would recomend either one of the kits from these companies.
