Some body must have put a new mountain sled to the test by now. Lets hear some feed back.

How does the new skid and rear supension perform?
Does the tip up angle on the rear of the skid make a difference in handling in the hardpack or the powder?
How do the new skis feel? Has anyone played with a wider or narrower stance?
Suspension dialing in good?
Taller Bars and seat?

Let us know so all of us '03 guys will know what we are missing! I may try some changes to the skid depending on what kind of feedback you '05 guys have. I like the idea of handling like a shorty on the trail and climbing like a mountain in the soft stuff.

I have an 05' The curved rails make it wheely a little too easy, it does seem to turn better on the trail though, I gave my skis to my Kid for his sled. He likes them, but I have heard people with them say they dart in the powder. I rode the SLP Powder Pros last year and they are very similar and I thought they darted too much for my liking. I weigh 190# and the skid in the front was too soft on the factory settings when you ride those sharp bumps up to the mountain. Bottomed off lots and this was without going very fast. I turned that spring up to the 2nd stiffest setting and adjusted the coupler rods at the back to couple as soon as possible, rear springs are on medium. Now I LOVE the ride, WAY better then my 03'. The bars are perfect for me, how ever I did put on 45 degree hooks which they should do from the factory, the grab handle is a huge improvement over the 03-04' they were like a limp rag. Now with the bars higher and the new grab handle I can read my gauges. The pad on the bars drops down in the center. Another huge improvement so you can see the gauges. The seat is awsome, way nicer to sit on down the trail. My legs are not nearly as bent and it is easier to stand up from a sitting position. Where the seat meets the tank it is dished down, I find this great as well. When you scooting down the trail and you slide up on the tank to corrner it kind of locks you right in there. Here is the thing I like best though, the settings for the hot grips staying put, not defaulting to high. I HATED that on my 03'.

Snowfever, did you total up your damage yet?

Also thanks for the feed back. Did the skids make the front come up too much all the time, or just climbing? Maybe some adjustable angle skids would be cool.
