Fixed them myself after suffering for a year. Original warmers were lacking.......big time.

97 Venture, 92 V-MAX4, 91 Exciter II, 88 Exciter -- all had hot grips, even got burns through leather gloves on the 92 V-MAX4 warmers.

Updated bars on 3 of the 5 sleds, still not satisfactory. 97-04 Yamaha two strokes = nuclear warmers! Hands and thumb always stayed warm. Mid to high windshield on all of the above listed machines.

Update on the 06's was a joke.

ROCKERDAN'S fix has worked very well as the factory just can't seem to get it right. Only problem is the hook is still not heated. But at least you don't have to stop to warm your hands on the exhaust when it gets below 5 above.
 
John, 08 Apex, 08 Nytro RTX, both have high winsheilds and Nytro has side deflectors as well, still cold hands at less than -5 C.
