Nice :bling , though I can't see those front springs /shock lasting too long

Steve what you see on that machine will go on and off in a minute or less ;)! It's based on a quick connect mounting system. The Log lifter which is powered by a 1 Ton Winch can also be used with a variety of other attachments I made including a Bucket Loader, Snow Plow, Fork Lift, York Rake, Boom for lifting or just a winch for pulling, front or rear or both. These same attachments where first built back in around 1987 for a Honda Fourtrax 350 and I used them on that machine until 2002 when I purchased this Kawasaki 650 Prarie. I never changed any suspension components on that Honda in the 16 years I owned it. I do pump the tires up to maximum pressure when I'm working the machine and I use a counter weight on the rear.
One thing for sure is that you can use your ATV for much more than just riding, these things are real "Work Horses" :exc:

Well I am just relating this to a fullsize rig where you have a Plow mounted... you have to change the Springs in the front to accomodate the heavier weight...

I know most ATV's have a front rack weight limit of around 100 lbs.. so I guess if your attachement weight is less than that you are good.. but then again.. you attachment weight would have to be about 75lbs or less as the attachment "moment" is acting farther out, from the suspension as opposed to the front rack weight acting directly downward on the front suspension...

Sorry if I over analyzed this.. but I am an electro/mechanical engineer... just my nature

Steve,
When it was time to get tires on that 1986 Honda FourTrax 350 I installed a set of Buckshot Mudders (4 PLY) and they worked really well with these attachments ;)! just pump up the pressure and it worked really well with the weight loads. Of course when your picking up something heavy the machine should be properly counter weighted and you have to use good judgement.
