what is the deal with studs , what is the longest I can use ?
do I need to thicken the gaurds ? Just up fron or the tunnel too?
I dont have the exhaust gaurd anymore , might be going with a 1.25 track

Anything longer than 1.375" and you're taking a chance, especially if you run your track on the loose side....Otherwise, you get into droping the skid, changing tunnel protectors, etc. to make room for the longer studs. Plus you get into bending issues, depending on your riding style and conditions.

Well put WarriorBeads,

I run 1.325 woody's Signature on my 136". I don't recommend these for aggressive riding, and plan on changing them to megabites or Macks later.

I also put 1/4 x 1" alum. strips for added protection as the studs scratched the cooler, heat shield, and die-cast pc. without them. It is allot of extra wrenching, but it's piece of mind.

so with the 1.325's I need to put extra on the protectors ?

stud length

Ran 144 - 1.40 down the middle of a 1.25 Ripsaw last year (500 mi) with no problems ;)!
P.S. Track now for sale ! (going to 136")
4 - what did you not like about the woody signatures ? (just put them in my 136!)

just curious , what do you want for your track?

I run 144 1.325 with out any problems.
