If you liked the Warrior, you will Love the Apex, 136" track and power steering.

I'm finding it hard to trust a first year Viper

they don't make a 136 anymore......128" or 144 only in the power steering apex

Oh, ok...glad I settled on the Vector LTX then...I really like a 136

apex proven sled viper remains to be seen as far as 1100t forget it just my opinion

Apexs 998cc engine always just >> pulls pulls and keeps pulling >>>>! no other snowmobile engine comes close ! :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1: :sled1:
Apex motor is hands down better for high speed trail torquer pulls hard out of corners and quick I also drive a turbo cat takes to long for power to come on for tighter trails and not much faster than apex plus apex steers way better!!!!! I honestly dont think the viper will steer as good when set up with a lot of ski pressure for bite for icy corners.

To me the key is to start off with your old sled.. Did the Warrior suit your needs? Was it enough power? Was the weight and size an issue for your ditch banging? If the Warrior worked well in the varieties that you ride, go with the Apex and don't look back. If you felt like the Warrior was too big and clunky you'd probably want to look at a Viper or Nytro.

Do to crashing my warrior over the weekend, I will be in the market for a different sled next fall and I need some input. I don't do any deep powder riding. I am a flatlander and a ditch banger. I love speed and power. With that said, I have been thinking about the Apex with power steering vs the unknowns of the Viper. I think the Viper looks sweet and "should" handle very well, but I am just not quite sold on them. With the incentives and rebates right now, should I be looking for gently used or left over Apex? Any suggestions guys?

Thanks!

I've ridden both. I guess it depends on what type of riding dominates for you. If you like some ditch riding and some off trail you might seriously want to look at the Viper. I am 49 and like to ride aggressively but lately have done most of my riding in northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. We don't get enough snow around here anymore either so I would choose the LTX 137" Viper for myself. If the power isn't enough I think there is going to be some add ons to go with down the road. The ride and handling on these new units is pretty darn sweet and they do not feel heavy at all with super easy steering.

guys the apex is hands down the best trail sled but he clearly says ditch banging i have a nytro an apex an am trading nytro in on viper ltx se for ditch banging apex is NOT A DITCHBANGER!! period go with viper or nytro

Thank you for all of the replies! I have never had an issue with the weight of the warrior. I am 6' 2" and about 240 with gear. It has never been a problem having to "muscle" the machine from time to time. Most of my riding is in the U.P., but when there IS snow here in Iowa I ride. My buddy rides a new Polaris Assault 144" that he has piped and a few other mods. The warrior was stock with just some "bling" mods. We figured that we were pretty even and I don't want to go to a sled that will lose to him. I thought I would go Apex and leave him in the snow dust! I really think the Viper looks sweet but I am not confident about the power or 1st year reliability. The Nytro is out of the question. I have never really liked the looks of them and they make me chilly just looking at them. Nothing against the guys that have them, I just am not interested in one.

Thanks!

Yeah, but what exactly does ditchbanger mean? I've found that it means different things to different folks. Some think they are ditchbangers because they literally ride a ditch or shoulder a few miles to get to a trail. Some think they are ditchbangers because they play in fields, and others try to jump off every obstacle they can find. To me the only "ditchbanger" is the last example I mentioned, and an Apex would do just fine in the first 2 examples.

It's all subjective.

Power you say Apex it is hang on it does not stop pulling. I want the apex engine in my nytro!!!
