Well after years of debating, I pulled the trigger on the yamaha low elevation supercharger kit. I'm pretty pumped to get it on my XTX 1.75. I have a couple questios. Are gauges necessary? I really like the Koso X2 but don't know if I should just install the kit as is or not. how long should i budget for the installation? I read through the instructions on MPI's website not sure if they fully apply to thelow elevation kit but they look pretty daunting. Is the Yamabond necessary, maybe it's in the kit? Any other install tips? I ordered a trail tank too.

Welcome to to the world of Boost
Get ready for your cheeks to hurt from smiling from ear to ear! You will need a AFR gauge for sure, so you know where you are at. A boost gauge would be a good thing also. I would recommend a Power Commander 5 w/auto-tune. Much better fuel management system then the GEMS box they will send you. Saves alot of messing around trying to get your AFR's right. Maybe you can get them to credit you the amount of the GEMs box and upgrade to the PC5? They have the best instructions with the kit, I have ever seen, pics of the whole process as you go. Allow 2-3 afternoons to get it all installed. Just take our time, it's not that bad. Hope this helps, Dan
