Looking for Tail-Light fuse

It's one of the automotive blade style fuses in the black plastic box near the reverse lever. There's like 4 of them in there and a few spares. Don't ask me why I know.

I don't think that the taillight has it's own dedicated fuse. If there is nothing else wrong electrically on your sled, then it's probably a short in the wiring, or not connected at all.

Follow the wiring and check connections. Is there a wiring diagram in your manual? You might see where it gets tied into.

Ok, here is the chain of events that led to my situation. I have a set of side marker lights attached to my front bumper, and an LED tail light. The sled went in for warranty replacement of the front ball joints. The dealer advised me that one of the markers would not light after they reatached the front bumper. All of the lighting was working except the one side marker. I was testing to see if it was the lamp or wiring when, with the sled running the Positive lead touched the frame of the bumper it arched and the tail light stopped working as well. ( like an idiot last year when I added the side markers I picked up the power source from a Blue/ with Red stripe wire that was in the bundle on the right side of the headlight assy. (bundle is covered by a black boot cover).. in error I did not fuse the power source to the markers.) :o| I did find that the 3amp fuse was blow in the fuse box, I relpaced it and rechecked it to verify that it's good.. However now that I have an inline fuse in place I still have no power from the source of the Blue-Red wire lead. I have the out-end of the fuse link disconnected, still no power and the LED does not work either. I installed the Markers, and LED last year pre-season, they worked all last year flawlessly and worked fine this year, until I momentary touched the hot lead to the chassis by misstake. I've been a Communications tech for 32 years so I have some knowledge of DC voltage. But this one so far has me puzzeled. Thats why I was thinking that there may be another fuse that feeds the taillight and whatever else is attached to that Blue/Red wire.

Did you look in your owners manual for a schematic of the wiring diagram?

I know I have a service manual and can send you a schematic when I get home later.

If you do a search, you might find a thread which contains the service manual download for the Nytro.

So you don't have any power on the bu/rd wire out of the fuse box? There's a relay that feeds all of those fuses.

Sure wish I new how to delete , there is an ole' saying of test, test, and retest. Well.... somehow in the confusion I failed to retest a second fuse, the Blue/red wire gets it's power from one of the 3amp fuses. I found a wire that was pinched within the bottom side of one of the bumper mounts, probaly done at the dealership, and while testing the fuses and wiring I must have moved the wire enough to cause a second problem. Thanks to all that jumped in to help!!!!! That is what makes this site so useful. BTW why is there a 5amp spare fuse in the fusse box, when none of the active fuses are ussing a 5amp? Thats one of the reasons I was thinking there may be another fuse box hid....My Bad!!!!

Great to hear you figured it out.

3, 10 and 20 amp fuses are supposed to be the spares. Don't know why you have a 5 amp in there. Are you the original owner?

Yes I bought new last year. (possibly the dealer blew a 3amp when it was in the shop and stuck in the 5amp as a spare???) don't matter...all is good and going out for my first ride saturday ;)! Thanks again!
