I just baught an 06 apex rtx this year! They look awesome, the 150 genesis motor is the best of it's era, and the feel of the sled is awesome. Wicked power curve and awesome excelleration. Havent got to trail ride yet but im stoked to try it out!!

The only issues I have had is, 1 bad bogie wheel so far. I had the bar update. I would check your drive shaft bearing, they seem to run dry. I love the fox floats. You can easily adjust the handleing and ride height. The wheels, suspension and bearings appear to be the negatives with these sleds, but easily maintained or replaced. Awesome sled, plan on keeping it till at least 10,000 miles.

i loved the er so i bought this rtx becuase of the fox shocks. the skis/ handling is an issue, but if you already have the heavier sway bar then maybe all you need is some better carbides and shim the skis from what i have read on it. on my Er the wheels were dry w/no grease at 1,300 miles so they are a weak point as well but i just regreased them for the season.

only difference between the er & '06 rtx was the color, shield, fox floats & the option of no reverse. I love mine. you will find little tweaks to suite youself like maybe skis,clutch/gearing,track... you need the '06 handlebars with the '07 & up whip to keep your hands warm with the low shield ask the guy your getting it from if he still has the older bars.

Buy it!
I am due for a new sled, but I cannot part with mine.
If I sell it, I will feel like I did when I sold my 2000 SRX.....terrible.

Teamblue,
If the handlebar update was done as Yamaha specified you will want to put '06 bars back on connected to the updated '07 wiring harness.
The '07 bars with '07 wiring harness still sucks. '06 bars with '07 wiring harness is the "hot" set-up.
