I did a search and read some threads, and it looks like there are a lot of choices out there. I ride mostly groomed trails, and very little powder. I'm looking for some skis that won't push in the corners and eliminate the darting. Appreciate all opinions and feedback on what your using.
Simmons but they will push in slush conditions in corners but then again which ski doesnt in those conditions.

USI SPK with Shapers work great in losser mash-tater snow.
I like em, and they work very well off trail. Allot of flotation.

I agree with Sled Dog. I love my Simmons in all but Spring warm slushy conditions. I just throw my stockers back on and beat them over the rocks and stumps and save the Simmons for good conditions.

sd5500, try shimming your stock skis first. take a 2 inch piece of a blown belt and attach it to the bottom of the rubber block on the back side of the spindle. this raises the front of the ski abt. 1/8 inch when sled is sitting on a level floor, allowing the carbides to cut their own path instead of following others(darting). with 6 or 8 in. carbides this will probably work well as you dont ride too much powder anyway, and best of all its free.

Just put some SLP Powder Pros on! Tons of snow cross guys run them. They are wide to keep the heavy front end of the fourstroke from sinking. This skis has been around for a long time now and guys love them!

I just took off some (5.7 skis Ski-doo) They where good on the trail but off the trial the sled would just sink(like the stockers) You need a wide ski!
I would say Simmons. I havent had much time on them yet, Ths snow keeps melting. (rained for 2 days )

I have about 2K on my Simmons. I like them but they will dart if you cross other similar ski tracks. Also, they steer heavy.

Simmons all the way. But keep your stockers for the dirt and snirt, rocks, gravel, etc. You know the early winter and late spring rides. Those skis are to pretty and expensive to fudge up!

Have you tried just upgrading to Woody's Dooly carbides??? The extra depth they give to the keel helps lift the ski out of grooves and digs in pretty well in hard packed?? I've also just put about 150 miles on a pair of ski-doo precision skiis....They seem to work at least as well as the stockers with the Dooly's, but I'll need a few more miles in diff conditions to make up my mind if they're really that much better.
