Low fuel light

I saw a thread once that when there is 1 bar and the fuel light comes there is 2 gallons left in the tank. Is this true? I rode to work today and the low fuel light came on just before I got here. Gas station is about 15 miles away on my home on the trail. I would assume I will be fine?

i got 26 miles on the gas light one time, was babying it the whole time cuz i knew the gas station was a ways away yet and she ran out about 500 ft from the gas pump.......

i figure with babying it i was just shy of 2 gallons when the light came on. 1.6-1.8 gal maybe

I put about 6 gallons in it at the station

I ran out of gas a week ago 2 km's from the truck and trailer. (Yes, embarrassing being pulled by a Skidoo, I know....:S) I got about 26km's after the light came on, thought I'd get a little more than that but not so, Lol. Babied it too for the last half or so.

I found the light came on with about 6 to 6.5 litres left in tank. For me at approx 6 km per litre, that is about 36-40 kms of running.
