I've ordered the 13mm sway bar from Bruce. The other day I decided to try to lower the A-Arms so that the sled sits flat. The springs on the Ohlins are already as loose as they can go and the sled is still not level. Is there any thing else I can do to lower the front. I guess the 40th GT is a little different than others.

- Which one? I have 6
Reduse the compression dampning on the front shocks. This will help keep the front arms lower, especially in the corners.

Make sure you shorten the limiter strap one hole to start with, to compensate for the lower front end. If not, you won't be able to keep the skis on the ground well enough.
I'm not sure what shocks you have, but the GYTR's I have still have about 1 inch of threads left after getting my a-arms level. Actually, you want them just above level to avoid bump steer issues. If you run them too low, you will have quirky handling due to the tie rods not being at the optimum angle with everything else. You may have to add spacers to the tie rod joints on the spindles to correct this angle, and re-set the toe in.

You can NOT get the arms level on that model!
The arms-level guideline is strictly for 03-05 RX models. 06 and newer RX and all RS models have SHORTER SPINDLES, so they can NOT be made level.

Mine has the Ohlin clickers. I haven't shortened the limiter yet. The shocks have less than an inch of thread left. They were at their limit as set up from the dealer. When I lifted up the front of the sled I could spin the springs. I'll look at it when I get home. I have lots of time to work on it as we don't have enough snow to ride right now. Just ice.

Then you either have softer than factory springs, worn springs, or a dangerous less-than-zero preload condition that can cause your springs to FALL OUT.nate007 said:Mine's level, and I have an'06???

Fox floats will lower that front. I'll trade you for those Ohlines, even pay shipping.Phazernut said:I've ordered the 13mm sway bar from Bruce. GOOD CALL!

Send the shocks out and shim them 1 inch. Set the spring with no tension. Just snug so the spring doen't move. The sled will sit level in the front with hardly any travel loss. Leave the limiter strap in the stock position. Stock sway bar. 13mm makes for a stiff ride with hardly any improvement in handling. The sled will ride smoth and rail on corners. Just play with the transfer settings if you don't want it to pull the skies. We have four apexs done like this and it works. One with ohlins two with gytr and one with elka.
