In my opinion now after learning the hard way by trying to avoid hitting deer. They are just not worth the risk and that's why we buy insurance.

Crazy ride for sure! The important thing is everyone is O.K. People always say don't swerve for a deer in the road but when it happens to you your natural reactions take over and of course you try to avoid them. Glad all are safe with no injuries!

It always happens so fast you just react to that moment......wish i would of gone straight but that's just the way things go.....around 40 years of driving through deer country i finally had to avoid one, of course hitting it wouldn't have damaged much. Also looking into getting better after market lights which will help
I have HID on my sled and I think I am going to do my truck and my bike they are awesome.

Glad your Ok Larry. Just reading this now. Crap happens, deer are good eating and like all delicasies should be ate out of existance. man we have a deer infestation here. If you sit by a road around here it sounds like everyone has boom boxes in their vehicles from the stomping on the brakes.
I bruised my wifes belly when I showed her just how good the 45 year old brakes work on the Old dodge. Just about folded her in half. Deer may have hit the crome bumber on the car as it danced it back end around and rolled into the ditch. Never mind 0 to 60 times in 6 seconds. I't become about 60 to 0 in a heatbeat latley.
My nephew has hit three deer in two years with his old dodge pickup. Went out and bought a new one and hit a deer on the way home with it new off the showroom floor. Deer number 4 in three years. People now don't talk about hitting a deer they talk about how many they have hit. I have accually slowed down ( I know, I know) I see deer every day when I'm driving they give me heart attacks almost every day. If I had my way I'd shoot and eat them all!
I'm all about driving around stuff, in other words about avoidance but when towing straight line braking is the best thing. Easy to say harder to do! You just want to miss the damn thing.
Again glad your all OK!
