A good friend of mine spring ordered a 2015 Viper LTX LE in the Blue/Orange color combo back in April 2014. From what I hear/am told these are now available at dealers for pickup.

His dealer (in Northern Ontario) is telling him that his sled is being shipped from Vancouver, BC to Ontario as that is where they claim the final assembly is (in Vancouver, BC). I'm not buying this info from the dealer since Minnesota is only a few hours across the border from where he is located.

I thought the motors were made in Japan and the assembly was in Thief River Falls, Minnesota? Since when do they do final assembly or distribution from Western Canada (i.e. B.C.)?

Is he being lied to/screwed around? The dealer says that Yamaha would never allow Arctic Cat to roll out a complete Yamaha product.

I think he's getting lied to , there built and shipped from there , maybe it's sitting in customs !!!!

I believe the dealer. Same as here. They don't come right from Thief River. I believe they are at least loaded into the box trucks that come to dealership from a regional Yamaha facility.

It will not ship direct from TRF but everything but PDI is done there. In your case it should go to the Winnipeg distribution centre or possibly Toronto. It should only go to Vancouver if YamaCat has a sheltered work shop doing logistics.

If they consider putting the skis on when they take it out of the crate "final assembly", then I guess it's possible.......lol

Last yr the sleds were late to deliver because of logistics. They are crated then shipped to regional warehouse in Chicago then shipped to dealers for final setup. There was a crating issue that no one foresaw. The crates worked well on the trucks from TRF but not on the trucks out to dealers. They had to modify the crates to pick them up and load on the trailers.
