mcx 290 apex running hot

Hi Robbie I know you said before to call if I needed help. Would you give me a call when ever is good for you please. 902-499-4860 thanks grant

My 290 2011 xtx has been flawless 14700 km . No over heat at all ! But not from the start ! I had to port the waste gate and change the boost controll, I was overboosting by 7 lbs , could have broke the motor in 5 km if I did not have a gauge to see !! Eric at MCX sent me pieces quickly , awesome since !
You need gauges to check the set up ! I could have run since without gauges once set up properly !

The MCX display is expensive if I remember correctly. Would have gone that route if I could have made fuel changes from it. There were some problems discussed on this site with the koso unit, I think MrSled had issue's?

The MCX fuel controller is excellent, no tuning needed , as long as boost and the fuel system are correct !

MY 290 has gone 228 km pump to pump running approx 30% of ( the 228 km ) hard !

Yes but don't bank on it till it's verified by gauges!

As said above , I would have broken it for sure , without checking !

Really I just ordered it. Let's hope not

just ran it up on stand and can watch it push fluid every crack of throttle, damn tear down time. wont be ridden again without gauges!!!! should be included with every kit, this sucks.

Sorry to hear that! Good luck!
