Just coming home from a ride with my 5 and 3 yr old.

Only our second ride of the season, worst winter ever.

And for anyone wondering about the Aaen pipe and its noise levels, well I have a fresh re-pack just before this vid, and the Quiet core is IN.

We do not live near a trail system or a populated area for anyone about to comment on that LOL. Ya its loud but I am respectful about it and ride away from town and dont cruise through town at night ;)!

(and when I say "small town" I mean 300 people, lol)

And we wonder why they close trails.

NO TRAILS WITHIN HUNDREDS OF MILES HERE.

This is Saskatchewan, the most sparsely populated province south of 60. I wouldn't dream of using this exhaust on a patrolled trail.

So in Ontario you guys actually have trail cops? Weird concept for us out here.

There are trails near the Saskatchewan lakes (Christopher, Anglin, Candle & Waskesui) but thats about it.

Personally never seen a snowmobile cop in my life

Yea, OPP patrol the trails. I have even been stopped by a cop car when the trail is along the side of the road. Checking insurances, ownership.

Anyway the pipe sounds sweet!

Next time tell the occifer "this isn't the sled you are looking for", as you wave your hand and see if he thinks its funny

I have always promised myself I would do this in my vehicle, but have not been pulled over since 2001. damn.

Yeah I dont know how to get a better video/more realistic sound, but they sound better in person for sure.

Just watched some doo 1200 vids with exhaust and I actually like it. Like a cross between a Phazer and Nytro exhaust. Interesting to say the least. I will admit the cat 4s sounds like a tractor to me. To each their own

So Mike, how do you like the aaen other than the db it puts out? Hows the performance compared to excell lets say....

Cant speak to the Excell as I have never personally had one. I know they are a touch quieter though.

Performance wise I got what I wanted. Could feel the difference and needed to clutch to bring down the rpm (still working on it actually)

Before I did all my other mods (clutch kit, pcIII, airbox) I put on the pipe and 1.5" track at the same time. I was still over-revving even with the bigger lug track so there is no doubt that exhaust let out some HP and shed out 12 er so pounds I think. Just a hair quieter and I think Aaen would have the balance of sound/performance I want.

My .02c

If I did it again I dont think I'd do Aaen, but also not sure what else Id do. I would probably do a stainless Hindle muffler, with a body at least 2" longer than the Aaen just to keep the noise down a touch more. Dont get me wrong, I LIKE THE SOUND, it is great! just cautious is all
