Has anyone tried to fit the mid windshield with hand guards? Any interference ? Yamaha calls it the low windshield.

I suppose with the mid height you wouldn't need hand guards. I've been thinking about a mid height for my GT and was wondering if I'll have to ditch my PowerMadds.
Thanks

I have the medium windshield (silver with the clear center), and the PowerMadd handguards with mirrors.
The handguards hit the shield on a hard turn. It does not seem too bad, as it is only a full hard turn, but I'm still nervous that I will break my shield.
I definitely like the mirrors on them, but I may pull off the handguards and mount the mirrors onto the edge of the windshield if it seems like the shield will be sufficient to keep my hands warm.

I have what they call the medium windshield that i bought for colder rides. The hand gaurds will hit it. I take them off when i install the medium sheild. You don't need handguards with the medium shield.
Mine seems to work fine http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=srx70024 said:Has anyone tried to fit the mid windshield with hand guards? Any interference ? Yamaha calls it the low windshield.

Looks like Steve mounted his with the guards on the outside of the mounting bracket....good idea. I'll give that a try too!

I have mid sheild and handguards and i have no problems but on real sharp turn they do hit slitly. Nothing to worry about though. Just so you know the mid shield does not cover hand grips any better just protects your chest alittle more witch does help in cold conditions.
