At the end of last season ( my second year with the xtx) I rode just over 4000km ~2500 miles.
My sliders were replaced as they were low and everyone here says to replace them
got 4000 km on the belt also then it blew. I was watching the wear on the second season. Towards the end of last season the belt was getting near its wear limits...but it looked in good shape so I continued to use it until I blew it up.
Noticed the sliders wore quick. But when I changed them they looked liked they needed changing but could of rode more miles on them.
So I will this as a guide in replacing these items in the future

Got around 2000 miles on current set of slides. My last set i was wondering if i was going to make it home anyway when i replaced them i found the worst spot a drilled a hole and found out I had an 8th of an inch left, you can wear your sliders too the top of the wear line. My belt got about 1500 miles on and it was about to blow out, there was string coming out of the side. So i replaced it. There are my records.

I have an 09 XTX too, I just changed my slides when I put a new track on a few weeks ago, 7700 km on originals and there was still some life left in them. I put 4000 km on my belt the first year and 3500 km the second year, I put a new belt on at the beginning of each season.

I think 4000kms is about as much as you'll get out of a belt. I blew two belts in about 8000kms. I've got 1700kms or so on the third belt.

Sliders depends completely on conditions. I've gone through a set in less than 500km, and I've had sets last 2500kms.

I would like to machine down the rails so I could put on Polaris sliders, as they seem to be thicker, harder, and longer lasting.

But the good news this year is, we've got so much snow that burning sliders is the least of my worries.
