The absence of a pull starter on the 4 strokes makes me wonder whether or not a set of jumper cables might not be an item that I should carry on my Vector.

Storage space is a little limited, so I'm wondering if there is a set of cables available to buy that might be more suitable than conventional jumper cables, or alternatively, what gauge wire one should use to make a pair of 4 footers...

I have a small set stored in the front of my Vector.. Along with many other handy items.. If you care to see other ideas, we have a thread started in the RX section. It's worth the read.. I have a handlebar bag that I store an emergency kit etc. ;)! in. MM.

on page 36 of the acc cat Yammie has compact jumper cables
MAR-JUMPR-CA-BL $14.95

10 feet long cant tell the GA of the wire.
In the pic they look like 1/4-1/3 the size of a battery

I dont really think you need them unless you are experamenting with lighter batteries or you cant break the habit of using the kill as a shut off

That's probably true. I've never had any of my electric start snowmobiles fail on the trail.
