I also ride a lot by myself and there is no way I go anywhere without the extendable shovel/saw combo. I've been in the rhubarb a couple of times and there is no way you are moving the one ton without shoveling first.
I'm going to be a Turbo Nytro mountain owner soon, been on a TRX1 mountain. What's a "RED" relay? Thanks.

Yer kit sounds pretty much like what I carry although I don't carry jumper cables.
The following stuff is ALWAYS with me/on the sled.
In the oem tool pouch in the nose of the sled:
A red relay/belt/oem tool kit/small vise grips/large zip ties/multi tool
Stashed on the sled:
Big Kabar knife/tow rope/mechanic gloves/small led flashlight/toque/goggles/bumwipe/emerg foil blanket
Embedded in my suit, pockets or worn:
wp matches/lighter/2 fuel soaked tampons sealed in plastic/folding knife/energy bars/compass/$500 cash sealed in plastic/spare sled key/compact led headlamp/map (trails and road)where I'm ridin
Can't carry a pistol in Canada...legally....sadly...but would carry if I could.....and when very remote riding there is typically a legal risk vs risk of ending up in the food chain ( whether I need to eat or get eaten) decision that gets made....
Damn sleds have become so high tech I'm more likely to get stranded by some solid state high tech gizmo or similar failure.....I keep the sled very well serviced/maintained and set up so mechanical failure is far less likely than a high tech problem is the reality.
Can always burn the dmn thing for warmth tho!!
Still possible tho and there's always risk of crash damage whether its me or some moron hitting me in the tight trails.
I feel fairly well prepared......
When we ride in a group we usually divvy up some more serious supplies/tools/parts etc based on the threat level ...... machinery/environment/human etc!! lol
Always like to spend a day and or night runnin' a survival drill. Head into the bush on the sleds and actually use the stuff......start a fire/source and kill some food/build a shelter/use the map and compass/practice a repair or troubleshoot etc.
Not gonna lie...we usually do it in the late winter in decent temps/weather and are dry/healthy to start with so it's fun/rewarding and beneficial
