Will the "newer" Apex tail light assembly, the one that is flush with the rear of the seat, fit right on to my '07 Mountain? It looks nicer than the rack style my sled has now. Thanks!

No one is real sure on this?
Ive been on the Yamaha parts finder, and all I can find is the actual tail light, no "housing or shroud"?? Is there not a "grille" type piece on the newer models?
Thanks for any thoughts/help!

I am sure there is something that can be fab'ed up if it doesn't mount up right. In worse terms you would need to have the whole assembly from the newer one. Sorry, but I don't know.

Thanks for the reply Kingtut.
I will buy the entire set up of an '11-'12, ect ect, but I cant seem to be able to figure out if it would simply bolt right into place, or if the rear seat configuration changed when they redesigned the tail light.
What year did they change it by the way?
Anyone have a custom job idea, where I can eliminate the rear rack and maintain the Factory look with a tail light? I'd rather leave it than perform a hack job on it if that's what it comes too.
Thanks for anymore thoughts!

Never mind . . . .
I see now that the exhaust, seat and shroud are drastically different starting in 2011.
Im going to modify my existing tail light set up.
