Tail light info on 2011 Apex

Hey guys,

Long story short. I sent my buddy to the auction to bid on a repo 2011 Yamaha Apex. So now I own it.. The tail light is busted out of it. The dealer said the tail light is $144 plus taxes in Canada. I know its a LED tail light. I'm looking to source a used ones.. I think the older model is the same only its not LED.. Can anyone confirm this? Will the older style Tail lights fit?? Or is there anyone making an aftermarket tail light for it? Or is the tail light used on any of the sport bikes?? I looked online and did not much luck. I'm into this sled too deep now. I have to no budget on getting it cleaned up for resale. Also will windshields from the older Apex fit the 2011??? Thanks in advance.

no wind shied is different and im pretty sure tail light is different as well (narrower) source used parts from a vender on this site like Barn of parts.

tail light is different and so are the windshields.

the 06-10 apex tail lamps where led as well but shaped different. someone parting out a used sled is your best bet for those parts.

An 06-10 windshield will fit if you switch out the dash panels. Never checked actual fit up of the 06-10 windshield on an 11+ dash.

I would have a used tail light if still looking for one.

The fit is crap Travis. I got windburn on my neck last year testing out the fitment of my 07 windshield on my 11 apex. -30F for several hours straight equalled a nice black spot on my neck where the wind was blowing off.

I guess if your riding your sled in the summer it's an option........
