I agree with Hicks and the other guys.
This is by far the worst OEM rear suspension I have ever ridden.
I pulled mine and put in an A/C rear skid and stretched it to 144". Added the 13mm swap bar, bar riser and USI skis....huge difference in rideability.
My buddy has a 2006 GT and it rides pretty good and so does the neighbors ER.
The C/K skids they put in the 2007-2008 RTX is a joke.

If I were to replace the skid with one from another sled manufacturer, which would be the one most recomended from users point of view. If the ck skid is that bad then they should almost all be a step in the right direction. I mean a zx2 would be the ticket but so much $$$ when one could swap in one from another sled and save cash for other mods!

Well sir, I believe you've hit the nail squarely on the head! It really is hard to go wrong....
Seriously, I'd suggest going with your favorite skid if you've been riding a while. If you don't have a favorite, look for one that came from under a heavy sled (thinking T-Cat or similar when I say that).
I have a long history with Poo, so that's what I went with. That, with the fact you can shop for different shock packages while shopping for a Poo skid, and plenty of used (cheap) parts available. I won't say any more about it. Suit yourself.

Aside from my blue pride I have a history with the rev platforms and know their skids fairly well. Not sure if a skid from a 03-07 rev work due to the weight difference. Has anyone used one without having to re-spring and valve it?

I really like my CK skid (07 RTX) over my wifes mono skid (06 RTX). For me its the best skid Yamaha has come out with. (IMO)

There's 2 guys regularly contributing here that I can think of. If they don't respond shoot me a PM and I'll give you their names so you can contact them.
