I have been reading a few posts on how to get rid of the clunking at low speeds on this type of suspension. I had replaced the spacers on the control rod itself with o-rings (one post I read); I also decreased the weight transfer and pulled the limiter strap up one notch (another post I read). My first ride with this setup was this past week in West Yellowstone and the clunking was gone and was very impressed. I also had Schrader re-valve the shock. I had rode about 100 miles when the lock nut loosened up and the adjuster tube unscrewed witch then caused the aluminum body to fall down and cut a gouge in the track. I had tightened the lock nut up with as much force as I could with the wrench that is supplied in the tool kit. How could of this nut come loose? I did replace the track with an 144" X 1 1/2 trackand also put on the 8" Pilot Skis (still pushes in the corners). I did notice more vibrations, could have this caused the nut to come loose? What can I do to prevent this from happening again? The next thing I noticed when I was going to order parts is that there are 3 washers item #55, there is a #10 which is Std. #7.5 and #5.0, what is the purpose of these different washers which I presume are the thickness?

Usually ,I find the bolts in the suspensions of sleds I had, there was a threadlocker on the threads usually blue. You might have to use threadlocker on that bolt [ nut] to keep it from loosening, I'm in process of adjusting my mono-shock suspension as well. plowking

I had the rear bolt fall out of the transfer rod somewhere on the trail so the rod was laying there riding the track for a good part of the day.
I couldn't believe the incredible hook-up I was getting as the day went on....talk about full transfer, what a hoot, I had the skis 3' in the air coming off the stop signs.
Didn't do any damage, luckily.
