I threw this in the other MONO thread running here but with 140some views it looks like that thread may die off...so I decided to toss up a part 2
I have a few questions for those of you who know the mono.
I am more curious what some of you have done as far as settings? Just got my shocks back and I am getting ready to toss the skid back in...but before I do I was wondering how some of you are setting this skid up. I am about 170 lbs and as of now I have left the limiter strap alone (all the way out in the last set of holes) and the preload is set at 6. (dealer did that last year when I stopped by on the trails. I told them it seemed to bottom fairly easy...shock damage on the top of it like in the other thread I saw on here) and as far as the transfer it's about dead center.
Can someone give me a crash course on what the 3 adjustments do? It looks like the preload just stiffens up the whole skid overall. The limiter I assume will increase ski pressure if I suck it up (where are you guys running yours?) and as far as the weight transfer rod..this is where I don't quite understand what that does?
I know I complained about the front end lifting out of the corners last year but it looks like all the dealer did was tighten preload. I have not had a chance to ride it yet this year but I will as soon as the polaris wheels come in so I wanted to ask so maybe I can make a few adjustments as it's out of the sled still.
Please post your weight and what setings your running so I can get a feel for what some of you are doing.
Thanks for the advice!!! Every year I learn more and more thanks to all you guys!!!

Here is were I am at...I left the main spring at 3 (I weight about 180 ready to ride) The limiter strap has been tightened one hole but I'm going to try stock setting again this year. And right now the controll rod is set to minimum. I ride northern and western Maine and Canada so the trails are very very good. I find it strange that the 03 and 04 RXs came with deep keeled skis and the 05 has mid keels it's no wonder my 05 pushes more in the corner. The simple explanation for the conroll rod..It limits how much the skid (rails) can change angle under power 8)

Thaks silverbullet. I am just trying to see what works for who. I want to try a few different things this year on it and just wondered if it's a finiky as the pro actions to get dialed in.
