I took my shock out without removing the adjuster, I just un-hooked the cable (it is a square drive cable, like a speedo cable) and I left the weight transfer link hooked up. It went back together easy.

Sounds good Dave, like I said the most importain part is the adjuster should not be moved when removing the skid thats why it says to take all the way to hard so you can check it prior to reinstalling.....but it sounds like it when real smooth for you...good job
