just wondering if anyone has extended their 136 ltx to a 144 with the hartman or tracks usa extensions? Can you run a 144" track without extending the tunnel? any pics?

I have wanted to do this to my 08 for a few years now. I think you need to add a tunnel extension to go to 144, I know my buddy is in the process of extending his Attak to a 144 and he needs to do a tunnel extension.

no tunnel extension necessary. Just finished the 144 and it looks fine. Actually looks more suiting to the tunnel than the 136 did.

Do you have pics??
Did you add an extension or set the skid back? Not that I need another project, but you never know!

Yes, I'd like to see pics of your work Yammimodder.

I just did a 4" rail extension and it works fine. The suspension has full travel without any of the binding that was present when the older proaction skids were extended. Currently looking at installing a Magnaflow 11113 muffler under the tunnel and hoping to completely block off the tunnel. Maybe I will do some pics when I am finished that. I have and old rx1 seat that I am planning on cutting in half and extending the height of it in an effort to get some luggage space on top of the tunnel. Really wish that the stock tunnel extension followed the same line as the tunnel(like on the apex xtx) instead of stepping down. Not sure if I want to tackle that issue this year or not. I also dropped my gearing down to a 20 tooth top. It should pull like a train.

Here are some pics of the Magnaflow 11113 installed on my Vector ltx. Had to cut out the cast aluminum cross brace between the tunnel protectors and the muffler fit right in there. I need to put a reducer on the inlet of the muffler now to match the header pipe and then weld on a couple of support tabs to bolt the muffler on tight. Fit is really good and muffler only cost $100. I haven't fired it up yet but there is another thread on here with a nytro with a similar magnaflow and it sounds great, and hopefully not too loud.

Had to pull the plug on the exhaust and tunnel extension for this year as the snow was down and I didn't have time to finish. I put all back to stock in about an hour except for the 144 which stayed put. with the lower gearing and the 144, this machine is quite an improvement over stock. I have a new tunnel extension fabbed up that I will get powder coated black to match the existing tunnel and replace the stock extension over the summer. I also have drop brackets ready to lower the suspension about 3/4" to get some extra clearance for my exhaust. May even spring some case for a used Apex Boss seat as the stock pillow just kills my hips after any length of a ride. The reverse capability of this machine now is excellent(along with the weight transfer at its max). Been thinking about a nitro camshaft but not really sure that I want to tinker yet with the powerplant. I will post pics when finish or as progress permits!

Heck, I just now saw the exhaust pics you posted last fall. Will you have to re-jet for the muffler when you get it back on?

not sure how much this will effect the 4 stoke engine. I haven't done any jetting on this machine yet although I have heard of people who re jet the pilots due to a lag in the lower throttle range. I will definitely try it out first and look for any signs of running lean but I am not expecting to see a huge difference. Do the MBRP and Hauck trail setups require re jetting I wonder?

hows the clearance in the tunnel and suspension with the extension? im looking to do the same to my rage from 136-144, what other components did you have to change and what size lug did you go with?

clearance
Clearance in the tunnel didn't change as I stayed with 1.25 lug height. I will have to use drop brackets when I go ahead with the new tunnel extension and magnaflow muffler as the top of the lug is almost touching the muffler. but that is easy enough to do.

Re: clearance
does anyone make drop brackets? or are they a DIY project?
