Wondering if anyone here in MB has a mountain grab bar. The one for the handlebars. I take my kids, mainly Cam, and poor guy has a hard time hanging on up front. It came to me today, one of those mountain bars!!
I'd be willing to pay shipping if someone has one collecting dust.

Hey royal distributing has a handle thing that goes over the gas cap and the cap holds it on. It worked really good for a coworker of mine. Different sled tho, he has a Polaris Indy.Wondering if anyone here in MB has a mountain grab bar. The one for the handlebars. I could look it up for you if you think it might work... I think it was like $18 or so.

That may be an idea if someone doesn't have a bar. I'd prefer the mountain over the gas cap one to be totally honest. I know with the Yamaha emblem on it it's probably 4 times the price.

Royal Distributing has them dirt cheap. And a buddy of mine might have a spare I'll ask him about it.

Thanks Jamie, canoehead.
After the pics you sent I didn't realize they were so cheap. Worried about expensive assessories and I should be worried more about my co pilot!!!

Here's something that may also be of interest to you, with your intended use. I would think that it may even help your son continue to get a better feel for when to steer/lean, etc. http://www.alternativeimpact.com/buddy bars.htm

Thanks Snowmixer!! I've seen those before. Very pricey IMO and a lot to remove for day trips whereas the mountain bar can just stay on. Or like 71rdrnr's suggestion, the gas filler one. Easy on and off.
I really like those titanium a-arms he has. Great weight savings but pricing is way up there.

The Phazer MTX has a mountain grab bar on it, and it does not look like there is any difference between the MTX and other Phazer handlebars, so you should be able to buy the Yamaha bar and mount it on any Phazer. It is pricey though, I think about $90, and I am not even sure it says "Yamaha" on it.

The mountain grab bar at Royal is $24.99 PN 12-29250 I run one on my Nytro and also one on the wife's Phazer. Work excellent for the price!!

Good to know about the one from Royal. I am going to be adding one for my son to hang on to this winter.
