What are the major/significant difference's between a Mountain package and standard rx warrior? Thanks.

THE MOUNTAIN HAS NARROWER 39" SKI STANCE ,TALLER HANDLEBARS W/MOUNTAIN STRAP ,DIFFERENT SHOCK SETUP IN REAR SKID & WIDER SKIS.

Thanks guys. I have a RX Warrior and was hoping that the bar setup / risers / cables would swap to mine? Also I am looking to maybe swap the mono shock if possible and what about front suspension? I have found very few alternative options for the rx front suspension, but several for the mountain. How would the narrower stance effect the shock if anyone knows? I checked out a mountain after I got my RX and guess I should have just went the mountain route.

all the bar stuff swaps right onto the sled as I have done it to an 04 and 05 rxwar when adding the risers.

usually the mountain shocks where shorter than the trail rx's to compensate for the narrower ski stance.

as to the rear skid, a mono is a trail skid, mountains used a totally different skid. I have my brothers 04 war extended out to 151" with muffinworks rail extensions on his stock skid with a Hartman tunnel extension. works pretty well for him.

What is your goal with the sled? If we know where you want to end up the guys on here will be able to help you with better info.

Just a more comfortable trail sled. I feel like I am driving it instead of riding it. I have seen the mountains and it looks like they are more comfortable riding. My pro action skid is garbage and there are little to no front aftermarket shocks for the front on a warrior. I am looking for a suspension setup for more aggressive riding and smoother on rough trails. The stock shocks heat up, fade, and jar me around to much.

Okay, definitely want to get rid of the pro action. A lot of guys change to the mono or like an sc4 out of a doo. I went to a cat skid and am much happier with that. The front shocks can be made to work much better. I sent mine to Mike carver and he put a 2 or 3 stage valve set in and rebuilt them.

If budget allows I would do the rider forward conversion. You can either have a guy that goes by wildchild build you the setup or if fairly mechanical look up the katchess thread in the mountain section. He has a nice write up of how to do it.

Either an apex seat or some other aftermarket option is needed.

Not sure if I would want the narrow a arms on a trail machine but, I have a complete stock set if you decided to go that way.

If you search my username you will find a thread on my 03 mountain build that may help you make some choices in direction.

Hope that helps some, feel free to pm me if you have a specific question about what I would or wouldn't do again.

Appreciate it. I will look up those threads and see where I want to go from there. I didn't realize the fronts were rebuild able. The mountain sled I saw had fox floats on them, I was curious if they would work on the warrior. I am going to do a little at a time, but as for right now my top priority is another skid and apex seat with bar risers. Now I am somewhat confused, will just about any other brand skid work? I wouldn't think they would mount correctly, but I have no idea. I def. want to go to a mono shock setup, just not sure which one.

Most skids will require some brackets to be fabricated. I am not sure which mono skids would be bolt in but you could get a shorty and then add extensions if that was a concern.
