Mountain to shorty conversion

A young friend of mine just picked up an '03 rx-1 mountain that has the tail section torn completely off, and back left skidframe mount broke which caused the track to be torn up.

It's his first sled and he wants to convert it to a 121 for trail riding as cheap as he can. I'm giving him a 121 track.

Looking for a complete 121 skid, perhaps a tail section, and some stock skis.

Any advice, parts, thoughts?

the mountain skis on it where the same as stock for that year unless they where up-dated and those should still work ok on the trail. have you tried hitting lano up for a proaction skid? might be others looking to get rid of one on the 2 stroke side or here. there was someone scrapping an rxwar last season on here with a bad powerplant for the tail section.

If you can get a 136" track, I have a 136" skid.
Hmmmm... even have a Cat 121" skid...

I will have a pro action available sometime after thanksgiving if he wants to wait that long.

I'd keep an eye on ebay for a good extra 10, pro-x, or edge suspension.
