Help.

I've run a Heel Kicker kit in my 2009 GT, along with Ulmer bottom airbox mod , PC & a top gear of 23. And of course studs. I've been frustrated since day one by the lack of top end that my clucth set up allows me. I'm done chasing it. The sleds runs 10,800-900, and pulls hard till about 100. Then it lays down.

The only question remaining is whether I just go back to stock or give a Ulmer kit a final try. Can I get some advise from those that have been between stock and the Ulmer kit, on their ability to keep top end at stock or better. ?

Other advise is always welcome.

I am looking forward to your feedback. My 2007 is all stock but compared to the srx I came from, this Apex is the same as you are describing. It just seems to rev and not go anywhere past 100. I look forward to your feedback if you get an Ulmer kit.

I have no experience with the heel-clicker setup but I can tell you the Ulmer kit in my 06 gt rocks. I have seen 130 mph on the dreameter with 24-40 gearing. My mods our in my signature. If you are only seeing 100 sounds like you could possibly have another issue. Mine still pulls very hard at 100 indicated.

What kit are you running? Sounds like its all in your set up. I have the Drag n fly and air box mod have no problem seeing 115 gps on short runs.

care to share your setup bought a set haven't tried yet. mine came with a black primary

My Attak has shown 125 on the dream meter with air box mod, Ulmer clutch kit, Excel rear exhaust, 1.25 stock Ripsaw with 108 studs down the middle and stock gearing (23 top).
What are you looking for ? More top speed or more pull to 110?? The 23 top gear will get you t0 100 quick but will stop pulling soon after that. I have found that on my sled with stock and aftermarket clutching.
With the Ulmer kit the "get up & go" is be better than stock.

anyone try HAUCK's VP weights?
