Does your MPI dual sided BOV make any noise when unloading the boost.
Mine dooesn't.
It also seems to be dumping at idle.
When I pull the hose from the intercooler side, I seem to get about 2 more pounds of boost for a total of 7. My setup is only for low boost ie 5lb.
Just looking to confirm that this is all normal.

I run 9 lbs and it sounds like an air hose. You should hear something.

It should unload the boost when letting of the throttle.

Clarification, at idle it bleeds boost until you burp the throttle.
At 9lb do you run on pump fuel (91) and at what elevation?

What spring do you have in the bov and how far do you have it turned in.

Don't know for sure which spring. I am told that it was a cut down 10. Have not adjusted the valve itself.

i run the 91 min and will add a little torco just to know I am safe. I would say i am about 600 ft above sea level (Upper Michigan) if I am more or less please correct me.

Every time you let off it should dump , either adjusted to tight , or wrong spring , or no vacuum.

it (BOV) does dump when you let off, it just doesnt whistle or anything. I think that everything is ok just curious if anyone got a noise from theirs (as a rule) and (separate question) if when you pull the hose from the intercooler off ( the push side of the BOV ) if anyone experienced a gain in boost??

First of all its not a BOV (blow off valve). Its a By-Pass valve, thats is why it has pressure and vaccum going to it.
If both vac lines are not hooked up correctly it will effect how it operates and your boost readings.
It doesnt make any crazy noise when it opens. at slower speeds on and off the throttle it will sometime make a chattering sound. Eric

Cool Thanks all. Right, my bad (BPV). Seems as if all is good. I love this sled.
