MPI quiet muffler

In the yooper it is only at night 55

Yup here in Minnesota its 55 all day and night and when riding a trail that parallels a road (AKA a ditch ) you have to go the road speed limit which may be 25 - that's why I do not ride in MN

Wow. I'm not saying sledding is all about speed but that would really put a big damper on the riding. We have fines for excessive speed, no real limits just unsafe driving and I agree with it, mostly.

Well to me it is! Within reason, I have seen enough squirrels I go 4 hrs each trip so I can ride not put.

This guy was a jerk He was mad cause I came to a full stop at a crossing and then pulled the skis off the ground. The law never said anything about having to keep the skis on the ground then he followed me for about a mile I thought it was the rest of my group riding my #*$&@ so I sped up He let me go on while riding my #*$&@ so I went faster, then he pulled me over.

when did they start that I was under the impression that in the up there was no limit are you sure you were not in WI cause we are 55 after dark up is no limit as far as I know.

Unless I am missing it somewhere, MI regulations state "At a speed greater than is reasonable for existing conditions". Problem is that is subjective. I have never personally known anyone to get a speeding ticket in MI, but I suppose it is possible that they could right you one if they feel you deserve one.

I was looking it up and that is still what it states along with near structures at night and such also if you are on road or the ditch of a road you have to follow the speed limit of that road.

makes more sense. i have a love hate for that trail. some of the bigest mouguls for the longest time I have rode on that trail.

This is what it says for MI

    • At a rate of speed greater than is reasonable for existing condition
    • On the frozen surface of public waters within 100 feet of a person, including a skater, not in or upon a snowmobile; or within 100 feet of a fishing shanty or shelter except at the minimum speed required to maintain forward movement of the snowmobile; or on an area that has been cleared for ice skating, unless necessary for gaining access to the public water.
    • Within 100 feet of a dwelling between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m. at a speed greater than the minimum required to maintain forward movement of the snowmobile.
