MPI says max speed 10,000 rpms. Is this engine rpm or blower rpm? I am running a 27t drive gear and a 26 driven gear. At 10k rpms the supercharger is spinning 10,384 with my gear ratio. It came with a 27/23 ratio making the supercharger spin 11,739 rpms @ 10k rpms at the engine. I have my clutching set up to limit my rpms to 10k, Max speed 114, (on dream meter) but its not opening up primary all the way. (also getting smoked by turbo viper with this set up)

I ran it 142 mph ( on the dream meter) at 10,800/11k rpms , same 27/26 set up, around 8.5 lbs boost with 16mm rollers, 50g super tips, 2w in heel- 2w tip, O-P-O. White secondary, 51/36 helix. Is this safe or to high of rpm? Was surprised it didn't explode. But it was fun!

I think he has belt slip issues. He ran B-S-B primary spring and lightened it up but it doesn't launch at low rpm. I had to give him a 10-15 sled length head start and I still ran him down. My viper is running 6# of boost and big venom kit, with less studs than him.

Anyone have a clutch set up for trail riding for the supercharged apex?

Stage 1 SC c15-60 good for Max 201,500 impeller RPM
Internal Blower ratio = 11.67
27/26 = 1.04 drive ratio
11000 x 11.67 x 1.04 = 133,505 rpm

Good to go at 11000 engine RPM...by my calculations

Thanks for the info.
