- 2015 Yamaha SR Viper X-TX 162 LE with MPI 190 turbo kit
I have a 2015 SR viper X-TX with the MPI 190 turbo kit with no intercooler. My question is can I replace/add the BOV on the kit with the one on evolution Powersports site (http://www.evopowersports.com/produ...alve-bov-for-snowmobile-and-utv-applications/) if so, how difficult is this to do? I'm mechanically inclined, just new to the turbo and 4 stroke world.

The kit already has a blow valve! Its attached to the turbo compressor housing

I thought that was a wastegate. Is there a difference between that and a bov?

The wastegate is on the turbine side of the turbo! (aka hot side) there is big shinny waste gate actuator mounted a few inches from the turbo thats attached to a rod that runs a round flapper valve inside the exhaust housing thats called a wastegate

Ok. So where is the BOV located? Sorry if I sound dumb, but this is all new to me.

Awesome. Thanks for the clarification.
Now. Can I change this BOV out for one that vents to atmosphere?

From my understanding, you get better response from the turbo when the BOV vents to atmosphere.

It vents to the intake!
