What can be done to the Mtn Lite to make it better in the deep powder.

maybe stretch it to 151 or so, increase track speed with
gearing? otherwise it does pretty well already.
I was riding in about feet of pow last weekend and other
than big hills it does everything I needed.

turbo or supercharger is the only solution, to get some serious track speed.

Yep, I would love this sled with 130-140 ponies. It just doesn't have the umph to spin the track. I put on Slydog powder pros and it floats nice. Also put a 20 tooth top gear in and it helped

Do you think there is room between the lugs and heat exchanger for 9 tooth drivers?

I was wondering the same thing rfabro, I think so far that this machine so far could use a bit more track speed!

I am changing the 17 tooth gear to a 19. This should help the track speed a bit. Have even heard of people changing to a 20.

Mine has to go to the dealer for it's first oil change pretty quick so I might have the gear changed!

I for sure want bigger drivers to improve approach angle. Has anyone done this to their mtn lite?

There is room for 9 tooth drivers, but unless you are trying to get a better approach agle I would't do it. The stock gearing "17-41" is good for 85 MPH on the speedo with MC-X turbo and 8 tooth drivers, so why change it? The mountain lites are geared too high from the factory, they will never go 85 with 80 ponies.

That's 85 on deep powder?

No, it won't hit 85 in deep powder but these clutches have overdrive. optimal clutch gearing for deep powder and climbing is 1:1
